Simple question please about PayPal transactions

Hello, I am creating a helpdesk and I was curious to know if it was ok for clients to post their transaction ID for other staff members to see. Basically I am asking if there is no security risk for the client if their transaction ID may fall into the wrong hands. I do not think it will but wanted to be sure that knowing someones transaction ID cannot cause any problems. Thanks.

What benefit does getting the transaction ID provide?

For when someone pays for a service and then sends the common email: "Um I bought something did I get it?" without providing any useful information. I then have to reply and ask how they paid for it and their transaction ID so I can look up their information.

One thing I have learned is to never say never.

I can't think of anyway that a tranaction ID can be exploited, especially when it is a non-public post. I think you will be as secure as is possible. Based on my knowledge at this point I would have no problem providing you or your employees with a tranaction ID from my account.

Well, I don't see any way the Transaction ID can be used to be exploited. Of course as long as they do not provide passwords, it would be quite safe.

I don't see any problem with it either, but it may be a good idea to send a quick mail over to paypal just to be sure.
