Simple steps for Myspace traffic

Can anyone explain me how to get traffic from myspace using simple steps.

 

This is what I do. I plug my site on my page, search for ''friends'' with similiar interests, and send a bulletin once a week.

Others just spam the heck out of everyone.

Depends on your ethics.

You add friends then you send out bulletins or comments to them promoting your site...this used to be good like a year ago..now you will get banned very easly and your site might get blocked from myspace. Myspace is using msplinks now and they redirect all the url's posted.

 

Disguise your spam. Create a persona and stick with it... is your girl 19 and cute? Then she won't be advertising how to 'make money online' will she? But she might tell you about a bar site review place... here's an example

"fuck went to jack's last night... bouncer cut me off at like 8 beers said "you've had enough toots". what a douchebag... anyway I'm at home, surfing the web later on and I see this review site... www.barsinwherever.com and there's like 20 people with complaints about that bar. Management is GHEY!"

just mention it, you don't have to say 'go to it' or 'this site is awesome' because then people know it's spam... just mention it and human curiosity takes care of the rest. But really, you should make sure your site is worth going to first...

 

I agree, target specific groups and then try and blend - just as Meistro said it's easier than heck nowadays to spot the blatant spammer profiles.

If that was the case, then you might as well as market elsewhere since you can't utilzie the traffic in myspace. Myspace is not a growing site anymore, if anything it's going down.

its veyr hard to get traffic form myspace today if you dont know what your doing, if your a newbie and just spamming via comments to un targeted groups it wont work at all....

 

what does myspace do too the spammers? i heard they were going too file law suits and stuff?

The traffic is still growing (see alexa) and the registrations are still climbing. I fail to see how it's going down?

Registrations are still climbing becuase of all the MS marketers using bots to create hundreds of accounts each day.

They don't care that they are also losing hundreds at a time they just keep churning them out.

My advice to any MSM newbee would be to forget it and try one of the many oher sites out there such as Youtube, Hi5, Squidoo, CraigsList, e.t.c.

If you still want to try marketing on Myspace be prepared for an ongoing battle as they make changes almost every week now.

 

I think it's definitely a lot harder than it was this time last year but still possible. Depends what you are marketing.

 

Don't lie. Don't pretend to be A "hot 19 year old" unless you ARE a hot 19 year old.
Nobody likes being scammed and spammed.
If you own a business, put up a myspace page as yourself, owning that business, and as 'politician' said, build connections to other people with similar interests and send them bulletins and comments.

This is so true and why the marketing business keeps getting a black eye. If you can't be honest then you have no business trying.

If you really have what people want they will buy it. It's that simple.

I agree with Magda. The new "marketing" generation wants everything now and utilize everything possible to get what they want. They'll be gone soon, and the ones who have plans and take action will still be there.
