If you are a doctor that specializes in cancer treatment, you can maybe get new patients.

do you want to have an education site that just pays for it's hosting or a site that actually pages you a wage?

You'd probably find adsense would generate enough to pay for the hosting.

What kind of cancer related services are you able to offer?

Well, I want to do this anyway because I have an interest in oncology and haematology.
I would like to provide all sort of information on all major types of cancers , particularly their best management available and their legal part , if they have one.

As long as you do what you are proposing, provide actual information and present a complete site, there is nothing wrong with having a legal section that happens to generate some high paying Ads.

As long as your focus in on providing a resource, go for it.

(Jimdigi doesn't read the actual threads, he just posts random comments so don't take what he is posting to heart)

That is where you start. If you write on your interests it can be pretty easy and quite fulfilling. I find the hardest sites to design are ones that are 100% for the money and in which you have no interest. Thats like having a job.

If the ultimate goal is to work for yourself, make sure you aren't putting yourself in a position where if you were succesful you would hate your "job".

I would look at some of the top health sites for inspiration but be sure to do it your way.

Also - By creating a true health resource, getting links will be easier. I will always exchange links with a good health site but unfortunately 95% are just built for AdSense and I would never send my visitors there
