Site review requested.

I have a forum at www.grinhost.com/forum. Sorry I cant have a live link yet . I had a very, very low CTR like say 0.19, when I put adsense at top. So I changed the ad place to after one place. Now my question is,
1. will this increase the CTR?
2. Will this annoy my users?

 

don't know....just experiment.

 

It's like asking, if I run to store right now, will I get hit by a car? How should we know? Chances are, just moving the ad will attract some attention, so your CTR should increase temporarily, before falling back down when your regulars start it again. As to whether it'll annoy your visitors -- well, what kind of visitors do you have? Do they get annoyed easily?

Never tried it. But I get annoyed when someone tries to hardsell me ads.

 

You'll eventually learn that some visitors get "annoyed" by any sort of ad, hardsell or not, particularly the regulars. There will always be a small group that will bitch and moan about every little ad, believing that you should bust your chops to provide them with a great site and forum, and not make a dime off it. Just ignore them. You gotta make enough to justify your work, and they'll either get used to it or get lost. Trust me, they won't get lost. They never do.

 

My ctr has improved dramatically, after the change. So as you say, ill have to put them even if some of them do get annoyed.
