I know of many well run forums. I have a few I like best because of the laid back chillin but helpful people. I think the forum owners should get together and form a round table. maybe a site called Forummasters.com if not taken. A place for people wanting to start a forum and people that run well run forums. This would be for all aspects of forums that deal in differrent area of subject matter.

SitePoint is having it's own little war right now! They fired Aspen, then a few others fired themselves, and it looks like there turning in to another SEOChat!!! :D:D

I think I would rather SP because I am more used to them then here. But that is the reason I signed up here, because I need to learn more and I heard this is a good community to do that

    In my opinion...

SPF - A webmaster discussion forum with some marketplace forums.
DPF - A webmaster marketplace with some discussion forums.

I hope to make mine the best of both! ;)

Well, the forums here at DP are very friendly, and not to mention, the members at this community are top notch. I love it here.

The only thing I like about SitePoint is their marketplace, but I lost interest in it when they started charging. I only sell sites there when I know they will sell for large amounts so I don't waste money listing them.

    DP all the way!

It isn't a war as such, just one demoting and then a lot of followers

Out of curiousity has there been a drop in active membership over there or is it only the moderators that are leaving?

I am seeing a lot less funny and less posts that do not resolve around selling something or a review. But Chris' (Aspen) forum is really benefitting from this because all moderators and people affectionate for him are going there

A lot of members are moving to Aspens boards,

    http://www.websitepublisher.net/forums/

Though, since SP already has a ton of members, it probably won't do any more than a dent in activity there, unlike the SEOChat thing, while Aspens boards have got a big increase in activity.

Take a guess who 'FPU' is!! :D:D

    Hint, he'll be back posting here at DP on...Mar 8th 2006, 8:00 pm. :D:D

I've read the first 2 and the last page of the thread, they've closed it. Must have turned into one big anti-SP rally.
