Ok so I was reading Darren blog and stumble upon this link http://www.sixfigureblogging.com/

From the outline it gave, it looks like most of these "blue print" are already on Darren blog for free. Am not saying whatever it is in there isnt worth the money, maybe it is but from the outline. I just don't see anything special, if anyone has bought the program I would love hear what you think. I would seriously doubt many people did but it though, but its funny I actually wanted to buy the program JUST to see why it cost $280 big ones. Whatever it is in there better give me super powers.

Maybe darren could shed a light on this.

You can make over $10,000 a month blogging.

Anyone who bought that surely will not tell you. I know I have bought some things I later felt foolish for. Anyone that knows how to make money is not going to sell it to you.

Yeah, usually all you're going to get are hyped theories of ways you can make money.

On the other hand, if he's using clickbank - you could see if its worth your money, if not - let us all know and get a refund.

dailydee - I've written about this on ProBlogger a few times but will say it again - the majority of the content that you get in six figure blogging can be found around the web (including on Problogger itself) for free. What you're getting in six figure blogging is a one stop shop in a verbal and written format.

We find that most people to buy the course do so because they don't want to search the web for all the information and want a concise collation of the best information. For example - at ProBlogger I currently have over 2000 posts on the topic of making money online. Reading them all would take a few days - something I know some people do instead of buying 6fb.

The other benefit of it is that the course is a conversation between Andy and myself and those who did the live version of the course. Some people learn better by listening than reading for some reason. Also a blog like ProBlogger is largely me doing all the talking - but the course brought in Andy's experience also.

I won't pretend that it's a course for everyone - if you've got the time to do your own research and know where to start then that's totally fine by us - but if you're at the beginning of your blogging for $$'s journey and want a head start then 6fb will be worth considering.

In terms of 'hype' - Andy and I went out of our way to make sure it wasn't a hypey course. We attempted to present a realistic approach and talked not only about methods but about how it actually takes work. It's definately not an 'easy money' type course. Listen to the preview call on the front page and you'll get a feel for it - the vibe of that call is similar to the rest (except that I was a little more nervous on the preview one as it was my first time).

Lastly I'll say that at the end of the live version of the course we asked participants for feedback and the main thing they told us was that if anything we'd put too much content into it. A number of participants also told us that what they learnt from the course paid for it within a few weeks. I wouldn't promise that that would happen for everyone (it partly depends upon the blogger's skills, work ethic, previous experience etc) but for me that made the whole course worth while and illustrated to me that we were on the right track.

Hope that answers some of your questions.

    Darren

Thanks for the explaination Darren, you have valid points. I just feel abit aliented because am a big fan if your blog and was taken back that you're charging $280 for mostly the same info on your blog. If its about half that price, I think I would likely buy it. I din't buy the program yet so I don't have the right to say wether its worth the money or not so I'll just leave it at that. I am still very curious what is in the program though, judging from your blog. It seems that you care for your visitors and likely won't overhype or charge so much without a reason for it.

If you don't mind, I will join your program and write a review for it on my blog soon. Am not sure whatever new information can be learn from the program I think I can pickup a few new tricks from this plus its great food for thoughts for my visitors

thanks for understanding DD. It's easy to knock courses like these without trying them (I've done it myself).

Again - if you're a long term reader of ProBlogger you will see some of the same stuff in the course but it might help to hear it presented in a different way.

Also - when you do your review make sure you joing the affiliate program and you might pay for your course by referring a few others to it. Many of our participants did that.

You can join the affiliate program at - this page

If you are really interesting to becoming a pro blogger I highly recommend you to read Darren (problogger.net) site first. Then you will know most info which he provides at his sixfigureblogging site + it wil safe $280:)

Do we have many people on here who are making a reasonably amount of money ($1000 p/m) from blogging? Or has that boat sailed long ago?

A blog is just another way to create a site, you can make a million a year with a blog or a big fat zero.

like dailydee says in my experience if you know what you're doing you're just as likely to be able to make good money from a blog as you are making money from another form of website.

In reality the majority of people in any form of web development don't make much money and this is true for blogging. A few make a lot, more make enough to live on, even more make enough to buy themselves some toys, even more make enough for a daily coffee.
