Small Business Network

I'm finally moving ahead with changes for www.bizammo.com. It probably won't all be ready for a re-launch until around February at least, but I need some feedback if you don't mind.

Topic sites

Right now there are four topic sites. I'm expanding it to 20 with the relaunch (the delay is actually while I produce the content). Each of the topic sites will then have 10 subtopic pages. Here are the main topics I have in mind:

Accounting / Taxes
Advertising
Business Education
Business Law
Business Travel
Consulting
Entrepreneurs
Franchising
Freelance Jobs
Home Business
Human Resources
Insurance
Management
Marketing
Online Business
Public Relations
Sales
Starting a Small Business
Technology

What I'd like to know is if anything is obviously missing. The network is targeted mostly to small business owners, but also to consultants and freelancers (two of the original sites). There are plenty of things that would fit in as subcategories, but is there some very general topic related to small business that I might have missed? I just thought I'd ask before finalizing the list and setting up the cms on the rest of the subdomains.

Uh how about Investment?

It's not a financial site, but more about all of the aspects of starting and running various types of small businesses. I don't know that investment would really be a huge interest topic for most in that category. I definitely want 20 even topic sites, so if I do add something, it means another has to go (get paired with something else or become a subtopic. I'm not saying investment wouldn't have a place, but if anyone else has any thoughts on that from a small biz perspective, I'd be grateful if you'd share them. Also, if investment could work as a subtopic to another area, that would be alright as well, especially given that I don't know if I could come up with, and populate, 10 subtopics in that area as easily as the others.

I think Growing the Business and Buying a Business. Possibly a retirement, exit strategy. Many small business owners do not have a very good exit strategy.

Internet or ecommerce maybe?

 

Internet and ecommerce are accounted for in Online Business.

Outsourcing is a Human Resources topic, so it would be a subtopic in there.

Ah sorry, I must have missed it. The only other thing I can think of is "Funding"

 

Oops! I only listed 19 in the first post. There were 20. The 20th was actually supposed to be "Business Financing", so funding will be covered. Thanks for catching that.
