smf sef patch or default?

    Hey guys i wonder what works for you guys.Mostly all the sites use the default sef for smf and activate it in the backend and it seems to work for them.Have youll tried the patch which makes a site like www.site.com/section/topic.
    Just wondering which is better?

    I am wondering this too since i am planning to open a forum site in a near future. And as far as i see SMF is the best choice.

    I was just waiting for the stable release since this site says that seo extension is in beta: http://www.smfseo.org/
