Social bookmarking sites I need to submit to

There are tens if not hundreds of social bookmarking sites out there and I'm wondering, which ones are necessary to submit to to get a decent amount of traffic and which ones are a waste of time?

You can submit to as many social bookmarking sites as you wish because as the webmasters of the sites are trying to promote their site through social bookmarking sites... the webmasters of these social bookmarking sites are marketing their sites in their own way to increase the popularity of their sites.
So don't you worry ... start bookmarking your site in different social bookmarking sites.

Stumbleupon

There are many many others as well which recieve quite a good amount of traffic

 

Here are a few big names:

Stumble Upon - High untargetted traffic.
Digg - Will get you quality traffic if used correclty.
De-lic-ious - Used a lot but I have yet to see results. Does anyone know if this site is good?
SocialMarker.com - Again, the same as De-lic-ious.

Other sites which aren't so much bookmarking but information sharing along with backlinks are:

Qassia.
Squidoo.

I suggest using:

Stumble Upon for traffic.
SocialMarker and De-lic-ious because it's quick and easy.
Qassia because the backlinks are fairly high quality + it is gaining popularity.

I suggest only using:

Squidoo if you have the time to really airbrush your "lens" to turn it into something popular.
Digg if you have a great viral marketing idea or just something that will grab viewers' attention.

My favourite social bookmarking sites are digg, stumbleupon, propeller and furl. They could bring you a good amount of traffic and good links if used properly.

 

There are loads of bookmarking sites out there. However you have to carefully examine them and consider the type of traffic that would best suit your site/blog/forum or whatever it is that you want to drive traffic to. One simple example - the diggers, they just click, check the site (scanning and skimming) for like seconds and then close it. If you have let's say a MFA site you're not getting a single click from them.

If you want these visitors to contribute to your site then it would be better to bookmark your site in niche oriented bookmarking sites. Everyone knows what diggers like most - technology. Well, at least that was the thing that rocked their boats in the begging.

If you share with us some details like the type of site you want to drive traffic to and stuff like that more people with experience would be able to give you advice. I myself have had the pleasure to be on the top spot in the Digg news many times and it wasn't a big of a success mainly because of the reasons I stated above.

 

We can say that now the DIGG is the most popular, but my favorite is Stumbleupon. Why? I get dayli trafic from there, not mutch but something. But peoples say that this is only trafic and not customer, but this is wrong. My record is 7 users in my poker downline/day. I don't know how but these user are refered by Stumbleupon. And the best in it that you don't muss to submit dayly bookmarks or articles. You submit one and the visitors ar coming dayly.

ANd the best that i hawe links in many soacial bookmarking sites, but i can see only from Stumbleupon. i think that this is the best indexed by Google.

If the sites are indexed by Google and even if they have 0PR it is make sense to submit

 

Not sure how an old thread (2 years old) got revived on this topic, especially because there are other relevant threads actually listing social bookmark sites, I would say use the top and medium rung social bookmarking websites like digg, stumbleupon, clipmarks, etc. to build traffic and get your site indexed quickly.

 

I also nee a good list for bookmarking sites, community and form list.

Please help me if any one has.
