    Do Social BookMarking Tags on website help to increase Traffic and Backlink.
    I saw lot of sites with these tags , even all new scripts also have these tags on all pages.

    I have Entertainment related sites

    For digg: users can digg your site which may bring it up to the front page of your category if you recieve enough diggs. (which generates more traffic). That's one of the purposes for having these tags in each of your articles

    If you are on first site of digg, you will also get a lot of posts from fameous bloggers that read digg everyday so even more publicity, clicks and links :)

    For me tagging is the most important thing. I tag everything on my sites. If it is a video site, I tag everything there appears in a video, if a blog, then i tag with related synomyms, if a picture site, i tag what i see in the pic.
    Tags bring in huge amounts of traffic.

    social bookmarking sites will help you to get better serp results (if they are not using nofollow in their links. for example delicous is using nofollow in their links. links from delicous will not help your serp)

    Instead of trying to profit instantly off the traffic that social bookmarking brings (which is somewhat futile), it's better to concentrate on building the strength of your sites SERPs with bookmarking.
