    Hey all...

    People are talking about the using of Social Bookmarking as a way to promote a website.

    Are those bookmarks really helps in SERPs ?
    How do people use it ? Just go and Bookmark every website they have inside all the social bookmarks networks ?

    With social bookmarking you attract people to your site. I don't know how well your site will rank on google but I think it is worth it. Search for "tag and ping" on google to learn more.

    Bookmarking sites on social bookmarking sites is never wrong. To bookmark a site will take about 1 or 2 minutes ( or less )... and it's free..!

    there are something like 100 new social networking sites made every day ;)

    TheBen is right, just takes a min or two to bookmark your site, it can't hurt.

    Aside from the direct traffic you get from social bookmarks a lot of them have a high PR home page and new bookmarks often appear on it and thus it´s there when googlebot comes by and voila a new site indexed in a few days. I am not sure about the longtime value as mostly the bookmark sinks in the pages and becomes one outa many. I sure hope it wont be the next FFA as I do like the instant traffic it can bring.

    You have sites that you can use to bookmark a page instant in several bookmarking sites. Moreonly or something but I am sure someone here knows what I mean.

    A great starting point for social bookmarks is
    http://3spots.blogspot.com/2006/01/all-social-that-can-bookmark.html it lists about 200 social bookmark sites so it will keep you busy for a while

    I used to make a fortune from stumbleupon until my site got a bit banned :D Its like gambeling. You need to know when to slow down.

    but i got smart price really time every time i do it, so i take out ads before i submit to digg

    Yeah else those crazy guys at digg will call you a spammer :) So yeah I normally take out ads or what I do is to write a relevant article and submit that article link.

    I have a stumbleupon and a delicious account. I've had better results with stumbleupon. If anything it's only beneficial to have someone bookmark your site.
