Social Media marketing or any other marketing method?

It seems social media marketing is not generating much traffic, and the traffic from social media has more bounce rate compared to other marketing methods.

So what guys recommend to generate traffic ?

    Thanks in advance.

Social media all the way. Twitter works for me. And of course you will have a huge bounce rate since traffic from social media sites is not well targeted. But still, it's traffic. And a good one at that.

If you need a rather inexpensive targeted paid traffic try Bing Ads.

oh bing ads it a good option.

if we are getting traffic and the bounce rate is too high its of no use... !!!

I wouldn't call it useless though. Let's say you get 10,000 visitors from Twitter each day. Let's say your bounce rate is 90%. That means you still get 1,000 visitors that may take action around your site.

What matters is how large your Twitter traffic is and not how large your bounce rate is.

Many years ago, I ran MSN ads and they were not that good. Have never tried Bing ads, but am getting tired of Google AdWords and the constant increase of CPC. I may try Bing now. By the way, have Yahoo ads simply become Bing ads or can those be purchased separately?

It's one and the same now. Make sure you choose Bing and Yahoo search engines ONLY (without the search partners) while creating a campaign. That way you will get a more targeted traffic.

You could run a PR (Public Relations) campaign. That is free, though it takes a lot of work. You have to develop a "news" story that will be of interest to readers/viewers of media outlets that cover your market. Note that it has to be "news of interest" to the readership of the various media. While an announcement of the opening of your business may be big news to you, it is not likely of interest to the media. If you can tie your business to something else that is already of high news interest, you will have a much better shot at getting picked up. Once you have a news story, write up either a press release or a story pitch and target the most likely media outlets to be interested in your news. You will have to contact the reporters/editors personally and listen carefully to their feedback as to what in your story works and what does not. If one of them shows interest in your story, s/he will likely work with you to flesh it out and optimize for the readership. Getting a story in a media outlet that targets your market can be one of the most effective ways to get high quality, free traffic.
