    For each mention of the #beatcancer hashtag on Twitter, eBay / PayPal and MillersCoors pledged to donate a cent to breast cancer research. The campaign beat a Guinness World Record for the “distribution of the largest mass-message through social media within 24 hours”.

    This is a great example of “using social media for social good”. This highlights a great opportunity for charitable organisations to use Social Media cost-effectively.
