Social Networking Marketing Advice Wanted

I have always used forum marketing as my main marketing tool and it has been extremely succesfull for me, I even wrote a specialist peice of sofwtare for this very reason but I would love to hear other peoples views on using social networks as a marketing tool.

How do you use social networks and what are the best ones for marketing purposes?

 

I prefer Facebook Marketing There is no other low-cost promotional method out there that will easily give you large numbers of visitors, some of whom may come back to your website again and again.

 

All marketing should be considered.

How do you use facebook for marketing?

 

I do create profiles on many social networking site just for one way backlinking but I'm not big on participation. I do receive a little traffic from twitter and facebook to my ecommerce sites, but have not seen much conversion, I can only hope visitors bookmark my sites for future shopping.

Social Network site are great for at least creating backlinks and branding.

I found linkedin to be one of the best ones to attract clients, facebook the second and twitter the third.
