Social Networking Sites Flawed...Says Hackers

    Social networking sites are increasingly becoming favorite targets for
    hackers.Exposing sensitive information that could be use by online criminals
    which there are plenty.
    A "zero flaw"has been discovered that let's intruders place nasty codes
    on any page.The good news is so far it does'nt effect internet explorer.the bad news is it does effect older versions of the firefox browser.
    Web applications have a common flaw,which is"cross-site scripting"that allows code to be injected on someone else's page.In the wrong hands
    this could lead to hijack e-mail accounts along with other personal information.One common problem is that when you recieve million of post
    each day,you cannot police every one of them.
    Occuring problems can be temporarily patch...but it seems as soon as you fix one another one springs up.

    The internet is growing so fast that we are constantly playing catch up.

    very unbelievable.. doesn't affect internet explorer, affects firefox.. :)

    Social networking sites attract a large crowd, and quite a few of the users are ignorant about security. Ideal target, and it poses a challenge too....

    This is one of the reasons I have stayed away from lots of the Social Networking scripts. I have no idea whether they have adequately secured the site. One way to minimize this problem is eliminating "personalization"
