would just like to share this

The main sweetener in soda — high-fructose corn syrup — can increase fats in the blood called triglycerides, which raises the risk of heart problems, diabetes and other health woes.

Roger that. Steer away from Aspartame. Unless you fancy your brain fucked up before you're 50.

That is the reason why I control myself from drinking softdrinks. I don't wanna die early.

Fact: anything in excess, even blueberries causes health problems.

Corn syrup is the least of your worries. Growth hormones used by farmers to grow beef and increase milk yields have been implicated as carcinogens. Many of the unnamable additives in household cleaning products are health hazards. Using antibiotics on your kitchen counters selects for resistant bacteria, which can only be killed with a little soapy water -- like the other bacteria. The air in the industrial world is full of carcinogens. Cancer rates in children have risen over 20 per cent in 30 years. This would have more to do with environmental factors, both in and outside the home, and addittives in foods than a high frustose corn syrup in pop.

just type "refined sugar" "artificial sweeteners" or some variation and you'll get a lot of info that won't leave a sweet taste in your mouth:D

Water. One should drink water and lots of it. Not flavored water, not carbonated water. Water. Get in the habit of carrying around a bottle of water at all times (this habit of mine drives my mother nuts, hee hee).

Water is the only thing that quenches your thirst, tho you can be fooled into thinking that it's quenched by drinking soda. Not so. I've never allowed my child to drink soda or juice - only oj, once in a while. Kid misses little or no school, and has one cavity - and that cavity will be gone when the tooth comes out at 9 years of age.
