Some Idea's/Help with my Adsense!

    Ok I run this site http://www.win2osx.net if you go there you will see i have my adsense block at the top of the page.

    These are my stats from adsense reports

    Page Impressions Total 785,355 Average was 25,334
    Clicks Total 863 Average was 27
    Page CTR was 0.1%
    Page eCPM was 0.29

    I dont know if those figures are good or bad but for the amount of traffic i get on my site i would think id make a bit more than i do. Anyone got any idea's or thoughts on what im doing?

    For starters...
    Secondly, I would make the ads stand out a bit more. Maybe even add an AdLinks units on the side somewhere or in the threads themselves. I, personally, would also filter out that CPM ads that are taking up the whole space and move to all CPC ads.

    ok sorry about that im a bit of a newbie here :eek: How do you filter the adds to CPC ones?

    the CPM ads are the ones that take up the whole unit block and you can block them by going to AdSense for Content -> Competitive Ad Filter -> add each domain on a new line

    Be careful when using this. I was using this for quite a few domains and when I cleared it, my CTR nearly doubled and it brought in a lot more revenue. Just be careful when using it. I had mcdonalds spamming my site with CPM ads and I blocked them -- irrelevant and not worth keeping.

    That's ok if you're new, just giving you a heads up about the rules and what you need to abide by to stay around here and on AdSense ;)
