Some people have an unlogical amount of luck and success

I have called more than 600 companies for a job since february with no result. Despite that I many times fitted their needs.

A younger friend of mine asked me for help because she was looking for a job after the studies that will end in the summer. So I said what she can say to the employer and so. 5 minutes later, after one call, with no experiences or education needed, she got the job.

Now I hate her

 

Times like these are when I feel lo lucky of being able to work at home in my underwear

Good point fryman, but if I had a company, I wouldn't have anything against to have my hired females wearing underwear

 

I agree that some people are just lucky. I was recently reading about some moron who stayed in Walmart for like 20 hours straight playing games and reading magazines. Eventually he was thrown out, but can you believe Hollywood studios have called him about a film project?

I wander how many actors and actresses in hollywood have been struggling for that opportunity.

Tell me about it,duh? My brother and his wifes income is $175,000 yearly i can hardly get enough to get through the month. Everywhere he goes its like the universal opens up and showers him with gold speckles. He has work hard and also been lucky as hell..IMHO making the right choices also has a bearing on your luck...what every that is worth?

 

Or the luck of people who win the lottery eh? Here we are working hard for our $100-$500/day and poof someone wins the $10,000 /week for life lottery ticket

 

That's part of our life here on Earth. sometimes, you're lucky, sometimes, no. Bu t what's important is you give your best shot always.

 

The difference IMO is since this money comes so easily for those who win the lottery it is just as easy for them to lose it. How many times have you heard of people winning the lottery and losing everything in a relatively short amount of time.

If you work hard for your money and end up making a lot of it you will also learn how to manage it.

 

another thing to remember, latehorn, is that if, after 600 companies, you couldnt get a job then perhaps you're inadvertantly doing something wrong? Eg, your coming across agressively or something like that and just aren't aware of it?
