Someone like me here? Can not sleep, when I have a new biz idea?

Always when I get a new business idea I can not sleep.
I am setting up the business and marketing plan and making strategies in my head, and it is really impossible to sleep.
The next day the plans are worthless anyway ha ha :D

Anyone with the same "problem" ?

    haha.

That made me laugh because i know *exactly* where you are coming from. I've had butterflies for about a week now from my last business development!!

Let us know when you've made a success of this idea!

    Good luck

Write the ideas down... don't let it consume you.
Spend 1 hour before bedtime writting them down on paper... not computer

I used to be that way. Now I just to be truthful don't give a damn that much about business, with the exception of the occassional heart attack mode like I had this week...

GRR..more important things than $$$$.. My mind is focused on them ;)

I can not afford to be mentally stimulated before I go to bed. To do so is to kiss sleep goodbye.

Sometimes I put a pencil and paper next to the bed, so I can write down those ideas and not lie awake thinking about them. I don't have one, but I imagine that a pen with built-in flashlight would be helpful.

And you're right...the next day some of the "greatest" ideas are not all that great.

I think about business ideas most nights, and if not I'd read a really heavy book like quantum physics or some other mind bogling stuff. I find it knocks my brain to sleep and I'm snoring 2 mintes later ;) It's simple things like paying bills on time that keep me up!

COme to me as I am doing anything, even here on the computer, and my wife decides to start yakking at me about things I really could care less about.
But I have to stop what I am doing, and nod sagely as she pratters on.
Which sends my mind awandering and poof! Another idea for a way to make some money.
The latest came a couple of days ago...but need like $5000 just to get it off the ground.

Ain't that the truth! But, that is what brainstorming is all about. Get 100 ideas on paper - all you need is that one golden one...

I'm the same way! Sometimes I go the whole weekend without sleep just to finish an idea, otherwise it will consume me. I call it Idea Insomnia! :(

Not quite the same - but typically, whenever I get a new idea for an ale or food, I am a maniac - and will be up all night working.

One beer of note - years ago, deep winter, Spring Green, Wisconsin. Decide to do a doppelbock using decoction, the traditional German method of lager production. 10 below outside, where my 512,000 btu brewing system must do her work, and midway through, all hell breaks loose. I didn't finish until next evening.

My wife named the brew, "Hellenback Bock." German speakers will appreciate the irony...

write down the idea in as much detail as you can and GO TO BED.
Sleep is the best critic/eye opener you can get.

You'll either wake up with a whole new outlook on the idea and how to make it 20 times better or you'll wake up and wander what were you smoking when you came up with that plan last night.

I always find myself losing lots of sleep when I get started creating a new site, I don't want to stop until I finish it. Since I'm in college, sleepless nights are pretty standard :)

Since I joined DP forums I've been having trouble sleeping, way too many ideas going through my head. Too bad I have to wait till school is over to turn those ideas into reality.

Thinking in general keeps me from sleeping. I've done pretty much everything to try have a regular sleep pattern. Luckily I seem to be able to work around it. During the week is the worst. Once I get to the weekend I end up just crashing hard for one day and the cycle starts over again. Hope you find out what works best for you.
