There was this woman who was fat, she wore a tinfoil hat to rid herself of the fat. But rat!.....It didn't work so she took a bat to the hat as she was still fat. She blamed that on the hat. She squashed the hat with the bat and it looked as flat as a mat.
But she was still fat, so much for the hat....drat!

Saw this joke and immediately thought of this thread:

"Information? I need the number of Caseway Insurance Company."

    "Would you spell that, please?"

"Certainly. That's C as in cadence. A as in aye. S as in sea. E as in eye. W as in why. A as in are. and Y as in you."

"Just a minute, sir. I'll connect you with my supervisor."

Saw this one-liner and thought of this thread:

English is a difficult language. It can be understood through tough thorough thought, though.

This is slightly OT, but for you lovers of the importance of proper punctuation:

I'm giving up eating chocolate for a month.

Oops. bad punctuation. Should have read:

I'm giving up. Eating chocolate for a month.

Saw a new one (for me, anyway) and thought of this thread:

Laid is pronounced like paid but not said,
and said is pronounced like bread but not bead,
and bead is pronounced like lead, but not lead.
