    It loads super-slow, and ads are not visible.

    instead having a banner under the 5th article, why don't you put a left aligned large rectangle under the first or second article...
    Also do the same with the second banner on the page. Add a wide skyscraper in the right column, and one link unit, somewhere. Link units work well for me.
