SOS: Image Background Editing in Photoshop CS3

I really need some help cleaning the images on my website - I tried making transparent backgrounds using Paint.net.

    this was the result:

    http://topinternetrewards.com/index.php?action=chooseprize&cat=1

    These look horrible.

I obtained Photoshop CS3 because I was told this is what I needed. But I need some step by step instructions on the easiest way for me to achieve my desired result.

I've done some searching. And found lots of tutorials - but they are hard to follow. I'm just not getting all the masking, manipulating layers. I can't find the "magic wand" or a "background eraser"

Someone please help, if you can

The edges are horrible and really looks second rate.

Anyone out there know the easiest way for me to fix these images?

I'm in a real time crunch..

    Thank you in advance..

    Tom

The biggest problem with your images is that they have been saved for WHITE background, while they're displayed on black. You have to set the proper "matte" color (black) when exporting your images (saving for web).

No way to remove white back ground automatically. The edges will appear as it is looking need to remove the background manually and then have save it with black background.

    check pm...

    thanks

    Hi ,
You to work a little bit more with these images. You can use in CS3 Quick Select tool for example, maybe sometimes you have to play with masks for better results.

If you do not have time and skills - i can offer you an paid service for this. Just PM me!
