Ie loads quickly as its essentially loaded all the time by windows....

Is there anyway to speed up firefoxes intial load time?
I dont mean loading webpages, just loading the program before beginning browsing

Not that I know of, but it does seem to be getting faster with each new version. 1.0.6 is about 3x faster on the initial load for me vs. 1.0.4

You could put it in your startup group so it loads with windows. Then the next time you need it, it would load very quickly.

I suppose you could make it run when the OS boots, that way you don't have to wait for it to open.

i do this.. it loads faster than usual.. but what annoys me more is that in firefox everything should be downloaded first before i get to open a file..

That's just a setting and can be fixed. Check your preferences.

i thought there were some parameters you could add to the exe call that would increase performance. Dont remember off hand though
