squidoo gives you so much control of your content Where as ezinearticles.com is very restrictive in regards to links to your sites and totally NOT Automated, where you can put squidoo on AutoPilot quite easily.


Noting squidoo is much simpler to organise than myspace.com

This should be one of your TOP free arsenals in your free promotion techniques.

Once you get familiar with Squidoo, you'll notice when checking the serps for terms your interested in, it pops up quite regularly.

These sites are created so members can make money from the sites via modules, Honestly i very much doubt you'll make money using them, though these Lenses (sites) can drive a lot of traffic and help rank your own money making sites.

well im very happy to report, that when I awoke this morning I was very happy to see these two sites listed above are both in the top 100

31 and 43 as seen here http://www.squidoo.com/browse/top_lenses which is PR 6 aswell.

so this really does work.

ive got links equal to links from EA and starting to gain traffic aswell only 200 hits so far.. but not bad for only under 1 hours work

Squidoo is a lot of fun. After only about a week, three of my lenses made it into the top 100 yesterday, and are now all in the top 100, and 2 or 3 of my other lenses are close enough that I could get them there if I promote them a little bit. As of this morning, my Small Business Success group is the #8 group as well. There's not a ton of traffic tied to it, but it's making an impression on my stats, especially from my freelance writing lens to the Six Figure Challenge blog, and the Online PR lens to my PR blog. As the site grows, I'm sure traffic will too. But for now, it's an easy way to get backlinks, they supposedly rank well in Google easily, and they're simply fun to make.

I don't think you have to join at least ten groups. As of this morning, I have 4 in the top 100 lenses by rank, and 2 more that are close enough that they might make it in a few days (after only about 2 weeks of playing around with them). At most I think I have them in 3-4 groups, and one of those in the top 100 isn't in any groups at all. You just need to get people to visit, rank them, and lensroll them. Groups can help with that, but you can get them in other ways - posting here, adding links on other sites of yours, emailing the lenses, etc.

Having good content would be a must though. It might not be too hard now, but if the site grows (and I'd be highly surprised if it doesn't grow enormously), your lenses will be buried with better ones if there's nothing interesting or useful.

 

Im doing an experiment with pretty much 10 identical styles of lens
each use a different category video feed from thevideosense.com

though the layout and look are the same for each
e.g the first one, the only thing I have done with it is use it for lensroll and nothing else
the next I'll ask people to Fav it.
the next I'll ask people to rate it only.
the next I'll put a ton of ibls on it
the next I will email other lens

etc I'll report the stats once i have them etc

btw.. does anyone know of a good free stats counter that is html only thats will provide reasonable stats, e,g which SE's sent traffic etc?

we cannot put java in the lens thus the requirement of html only counter etc
