Stange Stereo Connection Question...

Ok, this is confusing, bear with me:

    My stereo has USB in.
When you plug it into a PC, the USB connection gets installed as a USB Audio Device.

    Easy so far right ;)

My Mp3 player has USB out...what i want to do is connect my MP3 Player (IRiver h3XX) to my stereo, so when i press play on my iriver the audio comes out on my stereo...

Whats the chance of this working?

pretty good. USB is both directions. On your stereo you need to change the source to USB Aux in. Your mp3 player has to have a play through usb function tho which is really rare. My best suggestion? Does your stereo have normal RCA Aux in? Then just use the output headphone jacks into the stereo. Albeit your USB in is simply for memory storage of mp3s, not for live data.
