    Hello All,

I've been on the boards for a few months and appreciate the calliber of people who post so this is why I'm posting this here. And I'm feeling a little down so any words of encouragement would be appreciated. ;)

Can someone say burnout. Maybe I've been doing this too long but I'm getting burned out. Do others who have been in the same situation have ways to stay motivated? I'm finding it hard and am looking for a 'job' (gasp). But I really don't want a 'job', I just want to be able to have enough money not to worry about paying my bills. LOL -- I don't think this is too much to ask.

I have been doing this for awhile now and I know things always work out -- I just want to get over the hump. You know where you have some money in the bank so you can take some time off.

    Regards,

    VAnessa

I found in life simple goals and challenges are what keep me going.

When I'm only getting 300 unique visitors to my site, I'll try for 350. If I know I can do xx easily then I'll try to find a different way to do xx. I'll look for a way to make it either fun or a learning experience.

I find it's also helpful to surround your self with like minded individuals.

Well vanessa, I don't work on my websites ALL the time now. There was a time when I did and after a while I just got sick of the whole thing. In the end I managed to find some balance, leaving about 30% of my weekly life for site updates. I did a few projects here and there at my clients' offices (not full time jobs). Got some human interaction there so that was good. :) Spent more time with my kids.

Thanks for the encouragement and suggestions. I think bringing more balance into my life will be a good thing along with getting out of the house.

I think that in all jobs and/or businesses you have your ups and downs, I get periods that I do not want to see a computer at all, and I have discovered that if I then take a break/vacation for a week I get great inspiration and get really creative again.

One thing to keep the inspiration and creativity is to have goals set-up and try to follow and reach them.
