Hey All

What do you think about this social network?

Is it good to deliver traffic on your website from StumbleUpon?

What about Adsense and other CPM/PPC Networks? Ok or Not?

 

It doesnt matter what I think about Social networks. What does matter is
that google thinks about it. How likely would google like you if you are not
even being talked about on social networks? It would also raise red google flags
if you are getting backlinks, and you have zero social presence going on....
How could you be getting back links if no one is talking about you?

I would not use adsense unless you are well experienced,
as you could end up losing quite a bit of money with nothing
in return, google just wants your money, they do not care if
you know what you are doing, or if you know how to do it.

 

StumbleUpon can send a lot of traffic but I find that is has a very high bounce rate.

 

Every source has their own advantages/disadvantages...
The biggest advantage is you are telling google that you are
alive and well, and that you are socially active, however, the
biggest disadvantage is, they are not buyers for the most part...

These people spend their days/nights on social for a reason...
people use social to promote their own agenda, and others
use it because they are jobless.."hey, look at my dog..."

if you are lucky, you may get a sale, retweet, reshare, etc...
and if your social is not that big, then you will make nothing
as you may not have that many followers, at the very least,
you are still showing google that you are active....

If you really want targeted traffic, then you need to do some
link building on high authority sites in your niche...

 

Do what makes sense for your business. If the social traffic is landing on your site and leaving straight away, you are wasting your time, and should focus on other things. Inflated traffic stats may look good, but it's just wasting bandwidth.

 

I am not sure if stumbleupon is good for traffic or not, it is not like facebook or twitter, but of course don't scratch it out from you social media marketing campaign.

 

I personally never using stumbleupon as my traffic sources. however every social networks have its own advantages and drawbacks. Marketing strategies are vary according to the niches.

 

Yes, stumbleupon is the good traffic generate social networking site which i have really good experience with it...

 

How you deliver traffic from SU btw? I added my website, but only had 5-10 visitors and no more.

Experienced a high bounce rate through StumbleUpon. For getting a lower bounce rate, you need to make that page more creative.

Depends if you use the Paid Discovery option. Otherwise, if you don't go with the paid option then you're essentially targetting everyone with the category you've posted your website on.
But yes, if you do go down the Paid Discovery route then you can actually target by country and all the way down to cities.

 

I made $40 in adsense earnings with SU.. Two big hits but that's about it.

 

from my tests, you can get TONS of traffic from the site, HOWEVER it does not convert people on that site want to see something flash, they need to see everything in like 5 seconds then they want to move on, so for me running blogs its not really that good, for some niches i'm sure it works a lot better.
