    A logo doesnt always has to use a font related to the product/service it could just be a easy-to-read one.

    Definitely use arial, verdana, tahoma or such for the main text or it will be difficult to read. You could have nice jpeg headers for your column in a fancier text. If you have them as jpegs, they won't be distorted or changed on your visitors different computers. even some regular photoshop scripts such as 'manorly' would be OK if used only for headings....
