Suggestions for Advertising of Social Bookmarking site - SEO BUZZ

    We just recently launched SEO BUZZ as part of Eonte Directory, a social bookmarking site dedicated to SEO & internet marketing related articles & stories. We have done the normal marketing channels like directory submissions and banner advertising.

    However as we are relatively new in this whole business of social bookmarking, we wld love to hear your suggestions on how we can market it better. Traffic is growing gradually, but we want to do more.

    Appreciate any suggestions you may have especially from those experienced gurus!

    This can really depend on your budget.

    If you have a little money to spend you can try adwords. Although youre in a pretty competitive market there so it could get costly.

    Spread your site out there with some of the bigger SEO gurus. They might like you enough to give you some link love.

    tks tonybogs, but guess my question is HOW?

    It's a vicious cycle. Bloggers will submit their articles only when there is traffic, but there needs to be bloggers who submit in order to generate traffic. It's a mystery :p

    Anyway, by some support from industry friends, i'm glad to say that SEO BUZZ is turning out nicely with a good collection of content and articles ;)

    There are definitely audience for specific topics especially when I look over how these bookmarking sites are growing with vertical segments like showhype.com/sugerloving.com which are targeted to entertainment industries. You need to focus on webmasters and bloggers of specific area and promote it vigorously through relevant forums/blogs etc.
