SWF to Gif in a jiffy

    Hi. Haven't posted in a while. But here's a good one (I hope). A few minutes ago I had to work on converting a non animated swf slice from Swishmax to gif format to place it as a background image in a table using Dreamweaver. The trial SWF2Gif app that I downloaded expired today! Darn!

    Here's what I did:

    Opened the swf file, view at 100% (flash player will work), took a screenshot, pasted it in Photoshop, cropped it by selecting a fixed size marquee according to the size I need, saved it for web in photoshop (using 256 color setting, adaptive), and there you have... No need SWF2Gif application.

    I'm so relieved.

    IDK but I think SWF2Gif converts SWF that move. And so you can have an animated GIF. With your method you only have one frame (not animated).
