I have a blog and i want to increase my number of visitors and i think social networking sites will be the best option to increase my page views and number of visitors.

Kindly tell me the best social networking sites which can help me to achieve my aim and also explain the methods of gaining a big bursts of traffic from social networking sites.

LinkedIn and Myspace still have a TON of traffic. Try Myspace first....

 

Its important to understand where your target audience hangs out. It would be wastage of your time and effort if you dedicate time and resources into promotion where your audience isn't even available. For example, using LinkedIn to promote a sports blog in a community about technology, even though you've done your link placement and maybe someone would click but thats not effective promotion or even get you continuous traffic.
