Tell me where to place my ads

This is my first site and I never really thought of making money out of it till now. I get about 3k unique visits per day. That might be worth something....

I need some help with the ad placement. Where is the best place to put them? Right now I just have one landscape set of google ads in the "in game section".

i've heard that since the tabbed browsing one of the best positions is on the upper side of the site.

another good position is the right side [near the scrollbar 'cause many people still use the scrollbar - except those who prefer the mouse wheel [90% ]]

You can check google help guide. Google provides a "heat map". My preferred ad placements are medium sized ads and leaderboard ads. They work best on my sites.
