TFT screen problem

I just bought a new TFT screen but I can't get the foot to open. According to the very simple picture in the user's guide you just pull on it. Trying that though it feels like I am going to snap the foot off if I pull any harder. There is a little padlock icon on the back of the screen but no reference to it all in the user's book.

It is a Fujitsu Siemens Scaleoview C17-6. If anyone else has one of these would you mind letting me know how you got the stand opened.

Usually, there is a release button.

I believe one I've bought in the past had a pin you had to remove, the pin was in simply for shipping and packing and was not needed after you removed it. Others I've had are a bit hard to get it to move the first time around, very snug fit to say the least. Henny may be correct though as it might have a release button, either way I would think it would say so in the instructions somewhere.

I had the same prob with a sony.I lay it on a flat surface (screen down) then pushed the foot down and pulled. It worked. The instructions said exactly the same as yours....just a little diagram that says pull.I fiddled with it for ages before I finally got it and that was just by pure luck.

That's exactly what I felt like doing. In the end I pulled and tugged and fiddled and it did finally snapped into place. That took the longest time of connecting the whole system.
