The Face of Will Spencer

If you read this forum half as much as I do, then you know Will Spencer. Will Spencer is not my friend in real life, in fact, I have never met the man in the real world. But seeing his face on his avatar every day I feel like I know the guy. Whenever I see that avatar on a post I think, "hey, I wonder what Will has to say today!?". I guess my point in posting this is that avatars can become very personable. I feel like Will Spencer is one of my friends that I see everyday simply because I see him smiling at me on every thread I read.

This goes out to everyone who refreshes the "New Posts" section again and again at work, to everyone who see's the guy's avatar so much you feel like he is your best friend!

p.s. - Will's list of directories is awesome for anyone who wnats to submit their site to a ton of free directories (i'm sure he will be posting the link in this thread).

I think Will is a good guy also, if I could just round him up, take his guns and his Republican websites away from him he would be an angel :p :p

As far as that mug goes, NO COMMENT :D

This sounds like the start of a "Will Spencer - household name" campaign :D

So do you reckon people avatars are better than ambiguous non-people avatars, barrow?

I think avatars are always better because they stick in people's mind. Obviously if you are bringing some good conversation to the forum and teaching me a thing or two, I could care less if you don't have an avatar or have a picture of yourself naked for one (eeeep). My eyes usually go to the avatar before the username.

I think everyone should have a 'Will Spencer Style' avatar. Maybe we can all go to Anthony's house for DP Picture Day. Of course everyone will have to dress up, I don't want to see anyone showing up with SEO shirts you got from thinkgeek.com.

I think I am going to try to recreate the famous Will Spencer avatar with myself...be prepared for that.

Yeah, he is a household name around my place, I can't mention to the members how many times I have used Will's name in my house mixed into some juicy statements of extreme cursing non-stop.

He is a household name alright, you can bet on it :D :p

I would think that in such a historic year, you would pay tribute with your avatar...
