    I was just reading this article at BBC News

    What do you think will happen as China begins to increase it's wealth. Will the people really be happy to carry on with their low incomes? And will the Chinese government be able to keep control of the communist traditions?

    For me it seems that for a country with such huge economic prospects coupled with the reputation of much corruption in it's government that this could be a very dangerous country in 30 or so years time.

    I've been to China several times.

    I think your assumptions are on the mark, but it probably won't take 30 years.
