I agree on the girlfriend, must get one soon. :)

Good day to you sir *while tipping my baseball cap and holding gang signs, covering my white face with a black bandana, whatup homies ya'll*

Yeah, I agree. I skipped watching yesterday's episode as it's usually just a repeat of what happened on the day they went in.

lol it's not that dissimilar to Australia. You like a drink and the young wannabes looking for trouble wearing polo tops are chavs. Here in Australia we call them lads. I would love to watch a football game in England one day.

I always said I'd love to live in Aus as there is less crime and no chavs. I've never seen any chanvs when I watch neighbours. :(

Interesting how the term went country wide more or less, each region used to have different names for them i believe, in birmingham they used to be called townies.

In scotland they are reffered to as neds.

We called them townies here at first. They got called scallies too. The government refer to them as hoodies lol which pisses me off as when normal people like me wear a hoody, old people just assume i'm one of them.

Its easier to call them chavs. Makes them sound more.....isolated?

For some reason ive often referred to scousers as scallies :)

Yeah the hoody term is unfair, i wear a hooded top occasionally, not with the hood up though.

Theres some typical footwear id avoid to not be mistaken for one of them, lol

Scallies here as well (North Wales).

Again, don't like hoodies. Sat in work wearing one now, it's our unofficial uniform! :)

Scousers for me, I don't use the terminology "scallies". I also wear a hoodie, but who doesn't?

Does anyone here know how possible it would be for me to make a decent wage working full time as a freelance programmer? I left college in the summer with A levels that are worth nothing to me, for many reasons such as I rarely turned up. And I can't learn in the "classroom enviroment". I've also chosen not to go to uni, for the same reasons.

And i'm just wondering if it would be possible or not? Any of you in or have been in the same boat?
