The joys of being a parent!

I'm such a hermit and have nobody to share this with, so I thought I'd share it with my fellow DP'ers.

My daughter is almost two and we're in the process of potty training. Today I heard her grunting under the dinner table so I rushed her into the bathroom to sit on the pot. Of course she had already pooped in her pants, but she wasn't done, so she unloaded on the way to the potty after I got her pants off.

Before I could do anything, she picked the turd up off the floor and threw it in the potty. (At least she knows where it's supposed to go! ) Then she unrolls half the toilet paper and wipes her bum (well it was really the side of her leg - she's not too good at that part yet).

When she was finally done, I wanted her to wash her hands right away obviously. I didn't bother putting her pants on yet, so I just lifted her up to the sink while she washed her hands. When I set her down, lo and behold there was a poop streak all over my pants! I thought I had wiped her good, but I was very wrong.

After I changed my pants, she ran off with my kitty slippers before I could get her pants back on.



I can't wait until potty training is done!

 

Oh...... those are the days. Has she started to go through her nudist phase yet????

My daughter around 2-3 loved to run around naked.

 

So did my..had a hard time keeping panties on her at bed time. Those were the good on days.....Love the pic! He,He!

Yeah, pooh sucks. Especially when it ends up on the floor and on your pants!

At least she's not ripping off her clothes all day yet. I know that day will come though, if she's anything like I was when I was a kid. Almost every picture of me as a toddler I'm naked. There was usually a remote control strategically placed in each one though. Not sure how I managed that...

 

Hehe that was a funny story Morgan's Mom.

I swear down I would have Puked at the sight of poo, let alone if it had gotten on my pants. God knows how I'm gonna be a mom. I need to hire a diaper-changing person.

I would never put my half nekkid kid's pic on the net. Not with a load of Gary Glitters surfing the interweb.

 

I thought of that too afterwards...but then they have a picture of a baby bum on the coppertone bottle.

 

LOL, I had the same problem, i would want to puke just thinking about poo , nose goop among other nasty stuff.. anybody mention something nasty i would want to puke or try to puke........ Even today i worried alot about germs have to wash my hands after i touch anything.. I had the weakest stomach and miss out on alot of fun' but somehow i got over it.

 

Having two boys, who took a longgg time to potty train, I would tell a LOTTA stories ...but sure glad those days are (mostly) behind me ...

 

I have 2 boys too...my 6 wk old and my husband (who still manages to pee on the seat!)

 

Cute ... one of my favorite quotes from the christmas 2005 media coverage was the front page of the Rocky Mountain News quoting my wife who said "I have three boys at home: 4, 7 and 42" - I'll let you guess who that last one is - heh, heh! ;-)
