I am said fed up with hearing our athletes did a crappy job or they didn't do well enough! I say to all these news people to get up off your butts and do it then you can comment.

Good Morning America is the worst and they have been putting down Sasha Cohen for getting a silver, but they haven't commented on her being injured when she performed, just that she didn't do well and fell.

The press ticks me off!

The hockey teams were both major disappointments...the drunk skier and the guy who got in a fight did not instill much good will.

I didnt watch too much--- seeing Sweden win the gold medal in hockey --I caught the last 5 minutes and also the American girl winning the Alpine skiing event were cool.

I dont like the winter Olympics anyway...

I love the Olympics and have the deepest respect for any athlete who has pursued something as singly as these people, generally, have. Some of the most moving events for me were of the athletes who had no chance of winning but who gave all they had, for love - of country, of their sport, of themselves in sport.

The only things I would not like to see again: Dick Button, and Bode Miller. When it was coherent, Button's commentating was laced with acid and negativity, in utter disdain for the athletes and the sport they care so much about. I really could care less what Mr. "I hate his skating; Now, There's a Lady; It has no Pop, No Pizzazz, Just a Lousy Performance" Button has to say.

Miller snowed a lot of people who should have been treated better; I wonder how he will enjoy "the lifestyle choice" of flipping burgers when those he so disdainfully treated drop their support, as they surely will.

Aaw, d'you know the thing about the olympics - and any other sporting event - is that a lot of individuals give their all. They train hard and long and then pit themselves against others who've trained as hard and as long - somteimes harder and longer.

Somebody gets gold, somebody else silver, another bronze and so on.

I say WELL DONE to the person who is classed 32nd in his/her sport - WELL DONE!

I never got to the olympics in any sport - where do I figure in the top 650,000,000 for halfpipe? Certainly not in the top 32!

Competing in the olympic games is reward enough. SHould an athlete be good enough to win a medal, well, that's fantastic.

I'd take last place in any Olympic sport as an achievement. Wouldn't you?

Oh well... it's over with... I think we need to work a little harder towards the next olympics. What I was most excited about was our aerial skier guy that decided to go big even thought he could have medalled by doing a lower risk jump... that's what it's about it... going big or going home... and I'm glad he went for it.

Agree - what was it called, the "Hurricane," first time in aerial history? Awesome - I think there should be a separate category for Heart.

sometimes the essence of olympics is not there... sometimes officials cheat just to win their favorites...

the olympics is stupid. Too many sports where the winner is decided by someone's opinion instead of a score or time or whatever.

I highly agree! it's actually controlled by people who has more influence hence they pick the person they want to win... sport like boxing is susceptible to cheating... it's very much like we see at Las Vegas or any boxing match for that matter... if you have low popularity then your only hope is to bring your opponent down... these kind of people will soon pay!

I don't like the winter Olympics but I like the summer ones. In '04 Phelps(swimmer) only got 5 gold's not 7(he got 2 bronze metals). The media was all over him about how he did bad and stuff. He did bad by only winning 5 gold. He did very well its hard to swim as many races as he did in such a short time.

It's a competition, two things happens. It's either you win or you lose. What's important is we're proud of our athletes who participated in the Olympics.

I'm more ticked off about how Good Morning America runs a special about the economic rise of India, trying to brainwash Americans into accepting outsourcing. The portrayal of Sasha Cohen is of little concern to me. She is successful, and will do well in life. One country is more important than one woman, at least in my book.

I find it funny how people are more worried about the Olympics than they are about a country which is falling apart like Rome. Just my 2 cents.

I have 2 friends that made it to the Olympics, 1 won a medal and the other didn't. The commitment and effort they expended just to get there is unbelievable and I find it quite comical when couch potatoes criticize these elite athletes.

I do hate competitions that are judged and one such event I don't get is ski jumping. Why judge it? Shouldn't the one that jumps the farthest win?
