Facebook pages are amazing, they can provide you with amazing advertising and a good source of income if you can sell status updates etc.

 

i never knew fanpages can generate that much of visitors. will have to try that out soon

 

I am also starting out to build my facebook profiles using free tools. Although it's a bit late for me to discover how powerful facebook marketing is.

Buying a small fanpage won't cost a lot.

 

With facebook fanpage i got around 1000+ traffic/ monthly.. it is truly great source to getting traffic...

Send invites to your page to people who are on similar pages. Or to the few existing registered members of your site.

 

its an interesting post. agree with lawsofpower48 that its pricey to certain extent but will depend on the scale of your business. Small companies are always easier. For MNCs however it will take a full team to develop and implement strategies on facebook and other social networks. That's why I always suggest big companies to do social media at its full ( together with other thoughtful marketing initiatives) or not do it at all or otherwise it'll simply be a waste of resources.

Firstly congrats, if you use it properly a fan page can be a great tool for marketing.

I'm curious though how much you've spent on fiver? Say you pay $5 to get 500 invites to get 1000 fans wouldn't that cost around $25?

It's a great method but there are also alternative ways of getting cheaper invites you just need to know how to find them.

to increase the efficiency of your FB page you can try to use landing pages with FBML or FBJS code. You can try to find some good fbml page templates at http://facebook-templates.net/
