I received a complain from my host that somebody is spamming their forum from my server. The ticket opened says that I have to respond within 24 hours or will have to face service suspension or even worse plus a 50$ fine.
I immediately sent an email to the guy who they said sent the server abuse report. I am hosting my 30 glype proxies on one server. I just don't want to think about what will happen if I had to move all of them to another hosting. That will be a hell of a lot of work.

I had a look on myproxier.info. First thing I noted are the popsups and fullpage ads on the landing page. If you believe they make sense I would rather place them on the proxified page (i), as is now I suspect many visitors will leave your site as soon as these codes load.

If you have an Adsense account then I suggest you place Google Ads on the landing page instead of Adbrite etc. This is likely to get you more money, and goes along with (i).

 

So if your not running any proxy sites how do you know your plugin works?

do you have it installed somewhere on a test url I can try out? CGI Proxy has had some flash parsing support for a long time, but the performance was so lousy that it was unusable. It was almost guaranteed to crash your browser. If yours works better, that would be very interesting, and I might be able to help you port it to cgi proxy if you're interested.

I've put it up here: http://www.year1812.com/ - It's on a virtual server that runs pretty slowly.

AS2 parsing isn't enabled in that build, I re-wrote the flash parser from scratch to make it handle AS3 better and I'll be re-implementing AS2 parsing this week. So that means that things like YouTube should work, but other sites relying on the older version of flash's scripting language won't be proxified.

I'm not a big fan of CGI Proxy, so I'm not very interested in porting it over to that, thanks for the offer though. Do you run CGI proxies? I thought Glype was the de facto standard?

 

I tried out Hulu, and I get the error:

Since people overseas can't access Hulu.com, I really want to get that working. Unfortunately Hulu loads a specially crafted security flash file that my Flash engine can't handle currently, but I'm working on this and I have made significant progress.

 

Traffic to my proxies has died below 50% in the past couple of days I think the holidays have started.
