The Search Engine biz

I had some good domains so i thought of opening a search engine

you know the whole 9 yards...spiders..crawlers...indexers

Now im not sure if this is a good line of biz
And also are there any scripts that can be used to make a standalone search engine

i dont want a script dependant on 3rd party engines, if anyone can recommend a script it would be great!

also is this line profitable?
How do i make money in it? ( i know feeatured listing is a choice...anyother? )

Software is going to cost $XX,XXX if not $XXX,XXX and expect to have 100 or more high-end dedicated servers. I used to have the software bookmarked, but cant seem to find it now. I think it was the same software snap.com was built on (indexing / crawling).

 

Well i know its gonna cost something in 6 figures but didnt knew if there was something ready to go available for purchase or id have to get a custom made...
