The Use of Polls

I've started a little adventure into using polls on my site, but I'm uncertain what the proper way to do it is. Currently I'm simply telling them after voting that on Sunday there will be an article recapping the results. Is this the best approach?

I feel that polls are ultimately a tool used to enhance the online experience of the user. It provides interaction for the user with the site, therefore encouraging them to make this one of their more frequently visited site.

So, if the topic in question is interesting to the visitors, why not an article recapping the results, and perhaps some more in depth research into the choices of the users?

That would be one less article topic to worry about!

Wow I must be doing something right because as luck would have it I am doing articles recaping the results. Since it deals with superhero style this vs this I'm actually considering accompanying the article with a flash movie. A lot of people are excited about this idea, but is it too much work for return on investment?
