The value of customer feedback

In today's uncertain times there is always a stable factor we can rely on as customers when looking to buy... Feedback! Genuine, honest opinions of the product from people that have tried and tested it.
People trust what other people say about a product or service more than they believe an ad on the product/service.
Is it because we feel they have no reason to lie? or that they are on our side.. as in..also buyers? Perhaps we feel we can trust their opinion because it is impartial.
For whatever reason we believe what others say and rely on that feedback.
It is therefore equally important for marketers to treat this feedback with the respect it is due and use it to improve when negative or promote when positive.

 

I agree feedback is a huge topic, site owners tend to forget that they own a real business. You have to do your research, see what your customers like and dont like etc. A good site to use for this is kissinsights its a little widget that asks your visitors quick questions.
