    Well, not really.
    Not TOP level domains.
    We all know that there is only ONE truly Top Level Domain and that is .COM.

    There are a few runners uppers such as .net and .org but every thing else is not really Top level, more like medium or Low level domains :)

    There are some local domains which may be useful for the local users, but internationally even these local TLDs are not relevant.

    My clients collectively have more than 3000 domain names and each time a "new TLD" is created, I am asked by aggressive promoters to buy the "New TLD" for each one of my client's domains!

    I am told that unless I buy the new TLD right there and then, some one else would grab it so I should quickly snap it up!

    I call that simple blackmail.

    Almost as bad as the "helpful" folks who continually send to me offers to purchase versions of the domains that I or my clients own, with may be an added letter or some other minor change to the domain name.

    They too urge me to quickly snap the slightly different version of the domain, before it is purchase by some one else!

    No doubt others here at DP have had to deal with some thing like this as well ?
