ThinkBling, any possibility of porting to asp?

I really like your Amazon script and would love to run something like that on my site but it would have to be asp. I know I'm in the minority here vs. php, but as a whole, it could be well worth the effort.

Awesome, thanks for the link. I'll have to start tinkering.

I have a test page you can use:

    www.webdango.com/webdango/top_test.asp

enter a mode, a node, and (optional) a keyword to display results. To get the mode and node, you have to have an amazon associate account. Log in and goto the Browse Based Bet Seller Links. By clicking on the various links there, you can observe the hyperlink and get the mode and node out of there. Example (cut out the extraneous:

    All Products > Baby >

    http://associates.amazon.com/exec/p...ks/amazon-recommends/browse-bestsellers.html/.... &node=540744&mode=browse-baby

    node 540744
    mode baby (cut the browse-)

    All Products > Electronics >
    http://associates.amazon.com/exec/p...ks/amazon-recommends/browse-bestsellers.html/... &node=172282&mode=browse-electronics

    node 172282
    mode electronics

go to my test page and enter in the mode and node and you can observe the results. My page was built to be a quick test for modes and nodes, not to actually work....

    A caveat....

It's been a long time (about 2 years) since I messed with this stuff, so some of my knowledge might be dated. I jumped on the Amazon feed pretty soon after release, and despite a lot of working with it, was dissappointed with teh results. I understnad they have a lot more functions available now though....

Sorry, there won't be an asp port any time in the near future. Why don't you just install php on your server. It's easy. I develop on Windows IIS using PHP and MySQL but my real server is hosted on linux and Apache.

I wouldn't mind helping you along the way if you chose to go that route.

Why would you want to use asp?
