But how did he create that ad format? The "google ads" is above the add it self.. I don't think Ive ever seen once of those but maybe its just because the blending is so good I just didn't recognize it.. =/

I'm guessing he's a premium publisher and he can do that to his or her ads.

I don't think they are a premium publisher, I think they used a regular 234X60 and added the 'ads by google' on top to blend with the other headings. Why didn't they go one step further and use the blue background like the other headings?

I know I am in the minority here, but I don't like when sites go totally out of their way to fool visitors into clicking. I think ads should definately be blended to coordinate nicely with your site and get clicks, but sites like this are just going too far. I am certain others will disagree, but those are my feelings. Flame away. :D

If you look closely, there are 2 "Ads by Google". One is the original and one he made himself as the heading.

Some can get away with it some can't, depending on how Google TOS team feels that day.

Only 2 problems I'm seeing - the Ads by Google wording above the ads.
If somebody was to go so far as to put the word "ads" in, why not make it the same color blue, with acceptible wording?
The second is that I'm not seeing a border between the images and the ad.

Very nice blending, but it goes too far, i think.

Even as an AdSense neophyte, it was immediately apparent to me that the intent was to create inadvertent clicks. My instinct tells me this qualifies as "deception" under the AdSense T&C.

I also don't think Google or Macromedia will appreciate the Dreamweaver icon placement.

I've got a lot to learn about blending, which I'm told is important, and I am interested to see if this trick passes Google scrutiny.

Yep, it would definately fool anyone. Perhaps to increase the blending even further, he could have made the "ads by Google" stand out less by using the default colour.

No line between the image and ad, and the color of the background doesn't match.

The advertiser's loss is evidently their gain. Decently designed site, and another strike against the content network.
