    Look at this page:

    http://www.shoemoney.com/advertising-on-shoemoney/

One of the square adsense ads on the sidebar says "ADVERTISE ON Shoemoney" but it's apparently an adsense ads (just look at the link, it's googleads.g.doubleclick.net) that links to his own page which is just the current page on which the ad placed.

Really weird. Is it he doesn't know or clicks on this link don't charge him anything? Doesn't make any sense.

shoemoney is a highly regarded expert and I am sure he will have a very valid reason for doing so.

Can't view that website as i'm on a work computer, but no doubt it will be because he's a premium publisher. Premium publishers can have printed on the ad what they want, most stick with "Sponsored Links"!

Yeah, maybe he's testing something through that and doesn't care about the money, because he's super rich.

Maybe it's the default text to show when there are no ads showing?

It's actually quite easy, when using Adsense you can choose which domains to advertise on. He has created an ad that is looking for advertisers so essentially he is using PPC to get advertisers. He knows that it won't cost him much because only those who click it will be interested. Plus he gets all the stats and analysis that Google provide
