Three Questions about Adsense for Search...

    First post. :)

    I'm going to start up a new site soon, and I am already having some issues with my Adsense related things.

    First off, how can I switch the two Radio Buttons that Adsense for Search uses by default with a drop down menu? I want it to have the exact same function, except being a little more space friendly and better looking (for my page design at least). I have tried it, but it just doesn't seem to work. It only searches the web regardless of which option I choose in the drop down menu.

    Another problem I am experiencing is with the "Open results within my own site" option for Adsense for Search. I am trying to place the search results into my site design, so it looks better, but there are some issues with that. First off, I have to enter a static width, instead of something like 100% of the available screen width or something like that. Therefore, if somebody uses something like 800x600, it will not look right. How can I fix this? And don't say "Use the 'Open results on Google in a new window' option", because I need my site layout to stay intact for this page as well.

    One last problem, probably the least important, is that in my "Open results within my own site" frame for my search results, there is a large empty space at the bottom of the search results frame, under the "Result Page: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Next" thing. It's not really a major problem, but I find it very annoying and ugly.

    You're not allowed to modify the AdSense code in any way...don't do it, you will get banned.

    I don't see what is so illegal about just changing it from radio buttons to a drop down menu. I guess the others could be considered modifying their code (I could probably live without those changes anyway), but the radio button section is just how you select Web or [site].com, so I don't see how it would affect anything in a way that may be grounds for a ban.

    This one little radio button --> drop down menu change is all I ask. And if it is truly illegal, then an explanation would be nice.

    Here's a snippet from Googles TOS.

    "AdSense code may not be altered, nor may standard ad behavior be manipulated in any way that is not explicitly permitted by Google."

    Seems pretty straightforward to me.. I personally don't play around and if I'm not sure if falls in line with the TOS I don't do it. If your really bent on changing it, you're best bet is to email the google adsense team and have them confirm/deny if it's okay.
