    I'm sure much has been written and discussed on the subject but wanted to start a new thread.

    I have a friend that is frustrated with his current forum and I think I can help but I trust I would get the best advice here.

    Any links, articles tips and advice are appreciated.

    People will only sign up to a forum if they know they will gain something. Maybe make some posts on the forum from multiple users that you make to show that the site has some discussion on it. Nobody will join a site that is dead.
