Tips on Ad Placement for a Fantasy Sports Web site

I'm starting up a fantasy sports related Web site and would like tips on my current ad placement. The site isn't "live", I'm still tweaking it, adding plugins to WP, adding a lot more content, etc.

The Web site is www.clutchpick.com (home page only has 160x600 on the left and 300x250 after the 2nd post).

Here's a post page as well, http://www.clutchpick.com/max-scherzers-fantasy-value-in-2008-and-beyond, which has the 160x600 along with a 468x60 right after the headline and a 300x250 after the post. I'm debating whether to switch those 2 or actually take one out since the 160x600 is there.

What are thoughts on 160x600 - good placement?

    Thanks in advance!

The 160x600 ad unit placement is good. I suggest you put a 336*280 or 250*250 ad unit at the top of first post.

    nice site :)

On the post page I would suggest you place a 336*280 before starting the post content and just after ending the post comment, like here: http://news.mylocoworld.com/

also play around a bit with the colors, maybe make your title color green like the title clutchpick name and the link orange, or make the title orange and keep the link blue as you have it now.

    good luck with your site!
